OTP Setup

Configure how OTP-based login and verification behave for your customers. This section helps manage security, spam prevention, and user experience during the OTP process.

System Settings > Business Settings > OTP setup

Maximum OTP Submit Attempt

  • Purpose: Defines how many times a user can enter an OTP before being temporarily blocked.
  • Example: 5
  • Info Icon: Max attempts allowed before block.

OTP Resend Time (in seconds)

  • Purpose: The wait time before a user can request a new OTP.
  • Example: 60 (user must wait 60 seconds to resend)
  • Info Icon: Time interval before resending OTP is allowed.

Temporary Block Time (in seconds)

  • Purpose: If maximum OTP attempts are exceeded, the system blocks the user temporarily.
  • Example: 600 (10 minutes)
  • Info Icon: Duration of block after exceeding OTP attempts.

Maximum Login Attempt

  • Purpose: Number of invalid login attempts (with or without OTP) allowed before login is blocked.
  • Example: 5
  • Info Icon: Total incorrect login attempts allowed.

Temporary Login Block Time (in seconds)

  • Purpose: How long a user is blocked from logging in after exceeding maximum attempts.
  • Example: 600 (10 minutes)
  • Info Icon: Block duration after exceeding login attempts.
